Swap element panels into lines of three or more. Combos and chains turn into spells, and in Versus they bury your rival in garbage. Strike while garbage is on its way to you and your attack cancels it first; only what's left goes through.
The gauge beside your board fills with combos and much faster with chains. Press V when it's full. Attacking while garbage is on its way to you cancels it first, cell for cell.
Every combo and chain makes your mage cast a spell at a rival. Knock them down as many times as you can before your stack tops out.
